Singer Jimmy Buffett had previously joined forces with the club, although he does not own a stake in the franchise. “Marc approached us about joining the team as he expressed his excitement and enthusiasm about the direction of our franchise,” Dolphins majority owner Stephen Ross said in a statement. “We were very receptive to having Marc involved with the organization and quickly put something together to maximize the expertise of this dynamic businessman and performer.” Ross has stated his desire for the team’s management to reflect the Hispanic population of South Florida. Anthony, the biggest-selling salsa singer of all time Alpinestars A-10 Air Flo Pants, has been awarded more than 12 Latin and Standard gold and platinum certifications. “It is truly an honor to become part of the Miami Dolphins Dolphins re-sign QB Pennington_254,” Anthony said. “I have been a sports fan all my life and I respect hockey to sign with Pan, share and believe in Steve’s vision. This is a really exciting time and I look forward to getting into work right away and embracing the Miami Dolphins family as my own.” Anthony will sing the national anthem for the Dolphins’ “Monday Night Football” matchup against the Jets on Oct. 12 as part of ESPN’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Shockey to sign with Panthers

Veteran TE Jeremy Shockey will sign with the Panthers Five minutes with a legend- Richmond Webb_222, he announced on his Twitter account Thursday.

"Looks like I'm signing with Carolina. Time for next chapter. This is a great opportunity for me, and I am excited to play football. Let's hope we all have the chance to play this season," he wrote.

The Saints cut Shockey last week instead of paying him a reported $4.2 million in 2011, the final year of his deal. Shockey also reportedly had a workout with the Dolphins. He had a career-low 408 receiving yards in 2010.

Shockey will be reunited with Rob Chudzinski, the Panthers' offensive coordinator who was with the University of Miami when Shockey starred there.

The way we see it

Chudzinski was probably a big factor in Shockey's decision Alpinestars A-10 Air Flo Pants, and the Panthers could use an upgrade at tight end. If the contract is not finalized by the end of the day, Shockey would have had to wait for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement to be agreed upon to sign with the team. It will be interesting to see how Shockey manages to do on a Panthers offense with many holes olphins don't make , and his quarterback will possibly be Jimmy Clausen.

Dolphins don't make splash with Daboll hire

Dolphins fans were none too enthused when they learned that the team had hired Brian Daboll as offensive coordinator. It is hard to ignore the fact that his offense in Cleveland last season was one of just two teams that scored fewer points than the Dolphins. Word is he simply might have been the best available candidate. The way we hear it, Rob Chudzinski, who was hired by Ron Rivera to be the Panthers' offensive coordinator Alpinestars A-10 Air Flo Pants Mystery linebacker bears monitoring in Dolphins' offseason program_344, was the Dolphins' first choice. But considering the events so far this postseason — owner Stephen Ross courting Jim Harbaugh while Tony Sparano was still under contract — Miami might not be a desirable spot for assistants. One of the most important things Daboll will be asked to do is improve the quarterback position, and when asked about it Sale Alpinestars Motorcycle Jackets - Cheap Alpinestars Jackets Store, Daboll did not exactly give Chad Henne a vote of confidence. "Well, yeah Dolphins RB Brown likely out against Panthers_290, Chad is on our roster," he said. "I know we are going to research every available player, whether it is draft or free agency, but I am excited to work with Chad."

Jets' Revis ruled out for Sunday

Jets CB Darrelle Revis' hamstring injury is bad enough that head coach Rex Ryan said Revis will not play Sunday night in a big matchup with the Dolphins.

Revis was slowed last week by the hamstring and clearly was not 100 percent in the win over the Patriots Sale Alpinestars Motorcycle Jackets - Cheap Alpinestars Jackets Store, getting burned by WR Randy Moss, who made a one-handed catch for a touchdown. He left the game before halftime and did not return.

Revis will remain in the New York area and will not accompany the team to Miami. Antonio Cromartie and rookie Kyle Wilson are expected to start.

The way we see it

As big as this game is, there's no reason to push it. Hamstring injuries have a way of lingering for weeks Alpinestars A-10 Air Flo Pants Dolphins RB Brown arrested_246, so it appears to be a smart move by Ryan to sit Revis Dolphins sign OG Feinga_158, who hinted Monday he might be able to play this weekend. Cromartie played well in Revis' place against Moss on Sunday and should see a lot of Dolphins No. 1 WR Brandon Marshall.

Williams calls out Sparano on Miami radio

RB Ricky Williams has had an up-and-down career with the Dolphins since 2002 Alpinestars A-10 Air Flo Pants, which has included three 1 Sale Alpinestars Motorcycle Jackets - Cheap Alpinestars Jackets Store,000-yard rushing seasons and nearly three full seasons missed due to retirement, suspension and injury. His tenure there seems to be over, however, according to Williams, who spoke to a Miami radio station on Monday evening.

In an interview with WQAM, Williams blamed the Dolphins' poor 7-9 season on head coach Tony Sparano, saying the coach focused too much on preaching to the team instead of motivating them.

"A team takes on the personality of the head coach," Williams said. "I think the way we're coached Cheap Alpinestars Leather Glove GPX - Red Sale - A5033, Tony goes through a lot of effort to show us the things that it takes to win football games: not turning the ball over, converting third downs, scoring in the red zone. He spent a lot of time saying, 'If you do these things you win.' Sometimes Cheap Alpinestars Leather Glove SPX - Red Sale - A5049, I feel like he does it a little bit too much.

"My personal opinion is if you have the right attitude that 'You guys are going to win,' then all that other stuff takes care of itself."

He also added that it looks like his time with the Dolphins is done.

"It seems like now it's time to move on," Williams said.

The way we see it

Williams' contract with the Dolphins is finished, and it is unlikely the team will re-sign the back, who turns 34 in May. It is unknown if any other teams will have interest in Williams, though he still is a solid player, averaging 4.2 yards per carry this season. His criticisms of Sparano echo the statements of a lot of Dolphins players and fans, who saw the team underachieve this season thanks in large part to the coach's inability to adjust.
